DID YOU KNOW?

If you passed your driving test after January 1997 you will not have the category B+E on your licence automatically and will have to pass a separate test to tow legally. If you are towing anything other than a very small trailer (up to 750kgs). be it a boat, caravan, horsebox, builder's trailer, animal transporter, car transporter or even a car behind a breakdown truck then............. you must have the category B+E on your licence.

If you tow, or plan to tow anything behind your vehicle our experienced trainers can provide the professional guidance needed for you to be confident of test success.

THE DSA TOWING TEST......is carried out by DSA examiners at vocational test centres, is of the same standard as the HGV/PCV test and has the following parts:

• 5 Safety Check Questions
• A Reversing Exercise
• A Controlled Stop Exercise
• Approximately 1 hour on the road
• An Uncoupling and Coupling Exercise

If you have the licence already (passed your test before 1997) but are new to towing, or if your haven't towed for some time, our towing familiarisation course will give you the expertise and confidence that you need.
