Our Minibus Driver Training Courses

 D1 PCV Licence Acquisition Courses

Drivers who wish to acquire a D1 PCV licence are required to pass a medical, apply for a D1 provisional licence, pass the Hazard Perception Test and Theory Test for HGV/PCV drivers and pass the practical driving test.

We can supply the relevant paperwork for the medical and licence application and also the study material for the theory and hazard perception tests.

Our courses preparing for the practical test can be arranged for one or two drivers per trainer and take 3 and 4 days respectively, although an extra ½ day may be required per driver dependant on experience and test availability.

The courses include use of a dedicated training area for the required manoeuvring exercises. We will arrange the test to take place at the end of the course and, where required, we can supply a suitable, modern and fully fuelled minibus.

Our aim is to guide the new driver through the complete process to successful licence acquisition.

--------------------

Initial Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

For minibus drivers who wish to drive professionally it is now also necessary to acquire a CPC. The qualification consists of a Theory Case Studies Test and a CPC Practical Test.

We can provide the guidance and training required for the acquisition of the Initial CPC.

--------------------

 CPC Periodic Training

All drivers who are required to hold a CPC are also required to undergo Periodic Training. This consists of 35 hours of training to be completed before September 2013 and is usually arranged as five 7 hour modules. All training must be carried out by a registered CPC training organisation.

--------------------

One day Refresher Course

This course is designed for those drivers who already drive minibuses.

The course will ensure that you are up to date with the current legislation, confirm that your driving activity complies with the law and provide you with the skills to drive economically while maximising the safety and comfort of your passengers.

--------------------

One day Validation Course

Designed for holders of B and D1(101) category licence holders who want to drive MPVs and minibuses on a non-commercial basis, the course consists of a 2 hour theory session followed  by 5 hours of on-road training and assessment. Candidates who pass the assessment are awarded the Road Safety Solution MPV/Minibus Validation Certificate.

Courses can be arranged for up to 12 drivers and are also available for Local Authorities who want to issue their own Validation Certificate.
